Les Faucheurs de Marguerites
This annual sport aviation Fly-In at the Sherbrooke airport gathers together a great number of pilots, builders and aircraft lovers who want to meet friendly aviators and have a close look at their marvellous flying machines.
In fact, it is not a show but an aviation enthusiasts rendezvous, conceived by Les Faucheurs de Marguerites du Quebec, a none profit corporation founded in 1995. This unique event brings a lot of unforgettable meetings.
Indeed, aviation dealers and manufacturers find there a unique way to contact their usual customers all on the same site at the same time. Magazine editors use this opportunity to have a direct contact with their readers and enlarge their readers list by showing their product to the public. Aircraft Exhibition is held during the event, and aircrafts from everywhere in Canada and even from the United States are exposed there (mostly from Quebec, Ontario and Canadian Atlantic Provinces). Guests admire a lot of homebuilt artefacts made of tube and fabric, all metal, composites, wood and fabric. There are classic planes like Piper, Cessna, Mooney and many more. New aircrafts are presented on site every year. Most often they are new amateur built sport planes that are flying off their nest for the first time.
If you are looking for a special part or a good deal on standard aviation products, you can come and see the stocks in the Flea Market, held during the event. The same, if you have parts to sell.
This activity is free for all visitors that have aircraft parts for sale. Camping on site is free. The airfield can be used to camp under the wing and a camping area on the airport site is available to accommodate visitors coming via road with campers and tents.
In addition, construction techniques workshops and conferences are in program every year.
