Forêt de l’Eagle
The huge Eagle Forest, priceless ressource in the Vallee-de-la-Gatineau of about 140 square kilometers is not only unique by its management model, but also by its wide array of outdoor activities in harmony with nature.
Whether it’s winter or summer, come try the two suspended routes, unique in Quebec. The Sentier Suspendu – Suspended Trail is a trekking adventure on more than twenty footbridges suspended at the top of one of the biggest natural white pine cluster in the eastern part of Canada. This gripping tourist adventure will let you see the forest as never before. The Aerofil is a spectacular route of tyrolean traverse; a ride over one kilometer long. Well tied to a cable, you will fly from tree to tree, 12 meters (about 40 feet) above the ground over the Hibou river. A thrilling trip in a breathtaking environment!
The Foret de I’Aigle, it is also the confort of a wooden cabin by the lakeshore and the thrill of a week-end of canoe-camping, horse-riding, kayaking or simply hiking. The Abracadabranche, close to the Black Rollway pavilion, is offering a playground for the whole family with boats, slides, tree-houses and many exciting games.
Thoughout winter, cross-country skiers and snow-shoers can admire majestic winter landscapes. Suspended rides and horse-riding are still offered in winter. 150 kilometers of trails are also available for snowmobiles and AVT.
The Black Rollway pavilion, main building in the heart of the Foret de I’Aigle, offers several services all year long like a gaz station and a fancy restaurant.
