Athena Park is located on Jean-Talon Boulevard between Bloomsfield, De l’Epee Street and Greenshields Street.
This small, but lovely parc was named by the City of Montreal in 1986 to honour the Greek Community, whose many representatives live in this area of Parc Extension neighbourhood of Montreal.
The name celebrates the Greek goddess of wisdom and the arts. A stutue of the goddess was intslled in the parc in 2000. This part of Jean-Talon is great for browsing, and occasionally, guests cans find wonderful sidewalk sales near by.
Besides, there are a few excellent cafes and restaurants here, some of the owned by Greek Montrealers who have moved here.
The Parc Metro (subway) station a a couple of blocks away.
