Memories of a Childhood Dinner…

Artwork conceived, produced and presented by Departement of Moselle (France):

We must provide our children the same quality of life and the same natural surroundings handed down to us by our parents. To do so will be a daily struggle…

From a scientific viewpoint, Moselle is one of the four departments of Lorraine, a region of France known for its gastronomy. A region that has given us, among other creations, the macaroon. Though a simple confection whose recipe calls for a mere three ingredients - ground almonds, icing sugar and egg white - the chemical interaction of these components makes it truly a challenge to pull off.

Immerse yourself in the memories of Mosellans who as children experienced the pleasures of savouring simple yet oh-so-delicious products: here some strawberries, raspberries, there a salad spruced up with tasty flowers, or a juicy tomato straight from the garden…

We urge you to protect this precious heritage made of the tastes and flavours of our fruits and vegetables, which are the very essence of our land…

The local administration of Moselle has for many years seen to the preservation and promotion of these artisans and craftspeople who, like many of their peers around the world, value the authenticity of their territories and lands… Moselle, a land of hope…

As Jacques Brel mentioned in his song “Jef”, Moselle is also a wine-producing region. Nestled between Luxembourg and Germany, it is home to France’s northernmost vineyards.
