Temiscaming

Founded in 1920, Temiscaming is home to 2700 people. This town of Abitibi-Temiscamingue region was built according to the English garden town concept, so its Anglo-Saxon architecture in the downtown and inviting and calm setting attracted people to settle there.

The works of art of Italian origin blend in beautifully with the natural and sumptuous decor of the town. Guests can take a guided tour to discover Temiscaming’s numerous attractions.

Tourists can roam the streets, take in the beauty of the landscapes, admire the St. Therese Church with its famous statues, and visit the Train Station Museum. For a bicycle ride, you can explore the linear path guiding to a bridge with a breath-taking view of the falls on the Gordon stream.

The Outaouais River (the Ottawa river) is accessible by hydraulic tows that allow boats to bypass the dams.
