Le Valinouët Ski Resort
Le Valinouët ski resort is a well-known and very popular family resort located in the heart of the Monts-Valin Range in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Region of Quebec. Le Valinouët is situated 45 kilometres (about 25 miles) from Chicoutimi and it has an average of 600 cm of snowfall per year, thanks to its special climatic conditions.
The ski area boasts a respectable 350 m of vertical with a selection of 27 runs (including three glades) with variety to please all levels of skiing and riding for the whole family Guests will find there a fun park with two runs for little kids, beginners, and families, serviced by a magic carpet lift; one park for tubing; one terrain park for snowboarding and new school skiing.
Cross country and snowshoeing trails are available, as well as a slope side village including 400 cabins.
Le Valinouët is linked to the Trans-Québec 93 and to the trails of the Caribou-Conscripts Snowmobile Club, making it a popular stop for snowmobilers. People at Le Valinouët are known for their friendliness and hospitality typical of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Region.

The resort provides daycare for kids and offers special rental and lesson packages for school groups and businesses. The Valinouët has programs for special needs people requiring sit skis or outriggers. A ski shop, a weekend and holiday shuttle bus service and its own private ski patrol in conjunction with the Canadian Ski Patrol can be found on site.
The base lodge includes a full cafeteria, a restaurant/pub with seating for 150 (popular with snowmobilers), and The Yeti, a very comfortable, cool bar. Le Valinouët is a favourite base for snowmobilers who head for the trails from our day lodge beginning early in the season.
