Lafleche Cave

The Lafleche Cave is situated at only 25 minutes from Hull-Ottawa.

This largest cave on the Canadian Shield, created by the nature about 20,000 years ago, is accessible to visitors upon reservation. Its 402 meters of dried out galleries are exceptional. With ice stalactites and stalagmites and geology which are accessible to everyone, the cave holds many surprises and discoveries. Its history is littered with astonishing anecdotes and mysteries. Visitors will find out about speleological science - the study and science of cave exploration.

Note than the Lafleche Cave tour is reserved for persons over the age of five and lasts approximately one hour. Be aware that the cave’s temperature is a constant 4°C. Warm clothing should therefore be worn, even in summer. The administration supplies a helmet with a headlamp.

The Adventure Park of Lafleche Cave offers different courses through more than 40 different suspended bridges and 10 zip lines.

The longest zip line reaches over 259 meters long and over 47 meters high. Lafleche Adventure also offers walking paths and mountain trails with scattered lookouts where the views of the Laurentian forest are breathtaking. All the paths and trails are clearly marked. Besides, the Children’s Course includes 18 suspended bridges in a tree-top setting with two zip lines. This course lasts approximately one hour challenging the little ones to reach their goals as the obstacles get higher and more difficult each time.

The maximum height of the obstacles in this park are 4 meters and parents are more than welcome to enjoy this nice site.
