Ski Morin Heights
Alpine skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing at Ski Morin-Heights, located in the heart of the Laurentian mountains, take place in the natural beauty of the area of Morin Heights, where nature at its most magnificent wilderness and beauty in a sublime setting.
Ski Morin Heights is known for its family oriented center which offers free daycare. Guests can choose among a multitude of activities, such as downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, telemark and snowshoeing. Its microclimate benefits with abundant snowfalls. Powerful ski lifts help you go all the way up the hill ((one quadruple chair, three triple chairs, a double chair and magic carpet). Total lift capacity per hour is of 9, 600).
There are two dozens of trails at Ski Morin heights. Eight trails are for beginners, other eight trails are of intermediate level, seven are for experts and one is for glade. The longest trail is of 0,844 km (2769 ft).
Skiable terrain covers 90 acres. Vertical drop is of 656 ft from base. The ski center has snow school training program adapted to any needs, whether it is to introduce a child to skiing or to help people improve and perfect their technique.
Note than the cross-country ski centre of the municipality of Morin-Heights offers more than 60 kilometres of groomed trails, connected to the trails of Viking Club. Besides, there are also many backcountry trails, connected with Saint-Adolphe, located 10 km north.
A few inns and other accommodations can be found in the town of Morin-Heights. The town of St-Saveur, located near by, has several hotels and other accommodations.
To get to Morin heights take exit 60 off the Laurentian Highway at St-Saveur, then go a few km west on route 364 to Morin Heights.
The ski centre is on the east side of town at 99 Chemin du lac Echo, Morin Heights.
