Amos Exposition Center - Centre d'exposition d'Amos

Established at the end of the '60s, the Centre d'exposition d'Amos, a nice town in Abitibi region, handles any type of event, with a definite emphasis on art.

Each year it hosts nearly a dozen temporary exhibitions of artists from the region and elsewhere in Quebec. Occasionally, the centre hosts exhibitions with scientific and historic themes. Guests can visit its permanent interactive exposition entitled For all the Art in the World and travel across 10 000 years of history.

In addition, a gift shop, on the premises, is rich with original artwork and handicrafts of over forty artists and artisans of the region.

The exposition center is open all year and guided tours are offered (reservation required for groups 2 to 3 days ahead). Admission is free. The town of Amos is located along the Prospectors' and Clearers' Tourist circuit.
