Portrait sculpture has virtually ceased to exist in Europe, America, Russia and many other countries around the world. This exhibition is the very first attempt to revive the genre, and it presents sculptural portraits of famous as well as of ordinary people.

Alexander Mironov, sculptor, draftsman

Born in 1976 in Russia. Since 2010 he's lived and worked in Canada.

Education:

1996-2002 Moscow State Academic Art Institute Surikov, Faculty of Sculpture
2000 training at the Academy of Fine Arts at Karlsruhe, Germany
2002-2004 post-graduate of Moscow State Academic Art Institute Surikov
Since 2001 proffessor of Moscow State Academic Art Institut Surikov

Member of the Union of Artists of Moscow; Resident of the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, France
Member of the Conseil de la sculpture du Québec
