Historical Society of La Sarre

The Historical Society of La Sarre (Société d'histoire et du patrimoine de la région de La Sarre)  was founded in 2001.

Today, the society has established its headquarters in Lavigne House, one of the oldest homes of La Sarre, Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The Historical society of La Sarre provides a filing and classification service for historical archives.

The society also organizes exhibitions of heritage objects and historical documents, such as old photos, legal transactions, scale models, representing covered bridges, replicas, a few documents concerning local and regional history as well as a variety of thematic history exhibits.

Admission is free.
