Clermont's Cross Mountain Site

Clermont’s Montagne de la Croix - Cross mountain site is a beautiful lookout and interpretation site situated in the Charlevoix region, between the St. Lawrence River and the vast Charlevoix back-country.

This natural site was created with an educational, cultural and recreational/tourism purpose.

This site provides a 360° panoramic sweeping view of the town of Clermont, the Malbaie River Valley, the Charlevoix crater, and, on a clear day, the St. Lawrence and the South Shore.

The site offers many activities and services such as bird-watching, hiking and an information booth. Information panels installed here tell visitors about Clermont and the surrounding area as well as the history of the region.

Please note that pets are not allowed on the Clermont Cross mountain site.
