Museums and Economuseums
The Charlevoix Region regroups various museum-related institutions, local and private museums as well as economuseums, art galleries and other sites of interest. Today these institutions present vestiges from the past and recount important periods in its people’s history and lifestyles.

Charlevoix Museum: A must, to better understand the Charlevoix’s history, its heritage and its artistic vocation. The museum presents a permanent exhibit as well as assorted travelling exhibits in an enchanting setting. Archives, events, terrace, boutique. Website: museedecharlevoix.qc.ca
Seashells Museum of Saint-Tite-des-Caps : Seashells Museum. Over two thousand types of seashells from around the globe are on exhibit here, plus crustaceans, fish, starfish and naturalized urchins. Many items for sale in the boutique, including seashells, mother-of-pear jewellery, crabs, urchins, starfish, etc.

Papeterie Saint-Gilles (Paper Economuseum), Les Éboulements: Traditional handmade paper, founded in 1965 by Mgr Félix-Antoine Savard. You can watch artisans defibrate, press and roll unique paper, sometimes blending in local flower petals. Les Santons de Charlevox: Charlevoix Figurines. Original figurine creations, fashioned one at a time using a mold, and representing a Quebec nativity scene with traditional characters first seen in XVIIIe century Italy, and including certain Charlevoix architectural features.
