Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal
The leading contemporary art museum in Canada, this museum is located in the heart of downtown Montreal on the Place des Arts site.
Dedicated to promoting contemporary Quebec art as well as Canadian and international contemporary art, this museum presents exhibitions from its permanent collection year-round and features several temporary exhibits each season.
Its programming spans many artistic disciplines: painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, printmaking, film and video, multimedia installations…
But the Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal is much more than that. Its many attractions serve as a showcase for creativity and innovation in all its forms: intellectual, aesthetic, social, educational and even culinary.
The museum provides a variety of services to its visitors: Olivieri, the Museum’s bookshop and café; its restaurant, La Rotonde; the Museum boutique where imaginative gift ideas and beautiful design objects are available. In summer, visitors can relax in the Sculpture garden, a veritable open-air gallery.
Children and their families can visit the museum and take part in observation games, a drawing exercises and much more.
