Mount Springer

This mountain range, located near the town of Chapais, in Bay James, rises to an altitude of 538 metres or 1, 765 feet above sea level.

A partially groomed trail leads climbers to the top where a lookout offers a breath-taking panoramic view of the area surrounding Chapais and a sea of wilderness dotted by a few islands of human activity.

The steep relief emerges from a topography which is relatively flat and uniform. Guests can sea the Opemiska Lake, one of the most popular lakes in the area, with a boat launching ramp, a sand beach, a restaurant, a shelter for preparing fish, a playground and a campground. Note that this huge lake offers tourists an access to a variety of majestic natural landscapes including the Mont Opemiska.
