St-Tite-des-Caps Trail

With its forests and mountains, rivers and lakes and the ever-present St. Lawrence Estuary, Charlevoix Region is an ideal area for outdoor activities of all kind. In its setting you can get back in touch with nature an thrill at the sight of the St. Lawrence River and surrounding hills.

The Des Caps de Charlevoix Trail (Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix), winds its way from Saint-Tite-des-Caps through boreal and older forests, rewarding hikers with stunning vistas of the Montagny archipelago and Isle-aux-Coudres.

You can explore this almost 50 km trail on foot in summer or using snowshoes in winter, from the Cap-Tourmente Wildlife Reserve to Petite-Riviere-St-Francois.

Rustic campsite and a number of shelters are available to adventurers along the way. Excursions up to eight days are possible, as are vehicle and luggage shuttle services.

Cross country ski enthusiasts will love more than 65 km of enchanting trails at the top of Le Massif, as well as the 14 km exclusively reserved for show-shoeing.

Admission to the sector costs a reasonable sum, registration is required.
