Taureau Lake regional Park

Lac Taureau regional park (Taureau Lake Park) is a virtual inland sea in the heart of the Lanaudiere Region. This park encompasses the largest accessible body of water.

The Taureau Lake and park covers over 95 square km of surface. Thus is one of the largest easily accessible parks from the Montreal area. The Taureau Reservoir is a natural heritage of an exceptional quality. It stretches over 32 km, and is dotted with 54 islands. Its outstanding beaches and many wild bays make it the perfect place for water-sports or exploring and enjoying nature. The lake offers ideal conditions for yachting.

Besides, thanks to the immensity of the lake and to its marguerite shape, tourists feel like visiting several lakes in one. The park is only two hours from Montreal.
