The Saints-Anges Organ
A unique musical instrument, the Saints-Anges Organ attracts thousands of worshippers and music lovers with its magnificent sound. Considered one of the best instruments in Canada, it is installed in the Saints-Anges of Lachine, a church with exceptional acoustic properties.
The Saints-Anges Organ was built in 1920 by the renowned Casavant Freres Co. and fully restored in 2006 by the same company. The project was an opportunity to add 85 horizontal trumpets to the monumental instrument already equipped with 4 keyboards, a pedalboard, 65 stops and 4 444 pipes ranging in length from 32 feet to just one inch. This work of art became a magnificent concert organ.
A Lachine Foundation of Saints-Anges in Music ensures that the organ is well maintained and preserved for future generations.
