Park of Ameriques

The Park of Ameriques (Parc des Ameriques) is located at the northeast corner of Rachel Street and St-Laurent Boulevard. This place was once the Rachel Market, a large farmer’s market, but a rather small but cozy park was built there.

The designs in the arcade use Aztec and Latin American motifs.

Maps of the Americas were created with mosaics by Jules Lasalle, a Montreal sculptor who did also much of the art along De la Gauchetiere Street in Chinatown.

The Park of Ameriques is home to the Fringe Festival of Montreal.
